I was excited, I was on my way to Lake Okeechobee for the very first time to fish for bass with a pro that entered into my tackle establishment a lot. My heart was racing right to the lake. I couldn't wait to get there. All the Pro and I did was discuss the fishing there the whole trip. He had fished there often times, but this was my very first time of fishing at this lake. We unloaded the boat and introduced into a canal and headed towards the main part of the lake. The pro handed me goggles and I was wondering why I needed goggles. It didn't take long to find out why I needed them. We got to the end of the canal and off we went, full steam at about 90 miles am hour. We were in the middle part of the lake and all of a sudden we saw other boats and we were headed ideal towards them. We keep getting closer and closer and when we got within 50 feet the motor went off and we drifted right to the other boats.

Some of those boats were pros too. The pro I was with knew them and they were discussing fishing backward and forward. Then we started fishing. I was making use of a Charlie Twitchin Shad, Salt and Pepper and threw my lure out. I only fished a couple of minutes and hard my first bass. The pro hadn't caught anything yet. I kept fishing and within a few more minutes had another bass. Then I caught my 3rd and my 4th bass. I heard the pro say something but I didn't understand what he said and kept fishing. I went on fishing. Pretty soon he said something else. I said, "You're going to have to speak up due to the fact that I can't hear you". He said, "I can't believe you're doing this". I said," Doing what?" He said, "I was great enough to bring you here, we're in my boat and you have caught 4 bass and I have caught none". Well, I thought he was just joking around. So, I said jokingly, "Well, I give bass fishing lessons every Tuesday". I discovered he wasn't joking fast. Now I was upset due to the fact that he was fishing like he was in competition and I was just fishing and enjoying. Once I discovered he was severe and took all his fishing seriously and was genuinely upset due to the fact that I caught 4 bass and he caught none, I quit trying to catch anything. I wasn't enjoying anymore. I didn't intend to be there in his boat or maybe with him.

We hardly even talked the rest of the time he was fishing. After numerous hours, he had caught 4 bass and was in a better mood but still a little upset. I wasn't delighted at all and just intended to go home. We fished for a few more hours. We'll I just had my line in the water not really trying to catch anything. I had enough of catching fish. I had enough of him too. Now it was time to go home and I was happier then so off we went at 90 miles per hour and quit going that fast when we got the canal. We loaded the boat and was on our way home which I was happy to be going. Right home we hardly said a word. We finally got there and I said to him, "You know I like you as a person but please don't ask me again to go fishing". I said, "You just to severe about this for me, I quit fishing tournaments a long period of time ago and went fishing just to relax and have some fun". So, we parted ways and left it at that. I just couldn't believe he acted like that. He spoiled my day without a doubt.
