Some of those boats were pros too. The pro I was with knew them and they were talking about fishing back and forth. Then we started fishing. I was using a Charlie Twitchin Shad, Salt and Pepper and threw my lure out. I only fished a couple of minutes and hard my first bass. The pro hadn't caught anything yet. I kept fishing and within a few more minutes had another bass. Then I caught my 3rd and my 4th bass. I heard the pro say something but I didn't understand what he said and kept fishing. I kept on fishing. Pretty soon he said something else. I said, "You're going to have to speak up because I can't hear you". He said, "I can't believe you're doing this". I said," Doing what?" He said, "I was nice enough to bring you here, we're in my boat and you have caught 4 bass and I have caught none". Well, I thought he was just joking around. So, I said jokingly, "Well, I give bass fishing lessons every Tuesday". I found out he wasn't joking fast. Now I was upset because he was fishing like he was in competition and I was just fishing and having fun. Once I found out he was serious and took all his fishing seriously and was truly upset because I caught 4 bass and he caught none, I quit trying to catch anything. I wasn't having fun anymore. I didn't want to be there in his boat or even with him.

We hardly even talked the rest of the time he was fishing. After several hours, he had caught 4 bass and was in a better mood but still a little upset. I wasn't happy at all and just wanted to go home. We fished for a few more hours. We'll I just had my line in the water not really trying to catch anything. I had enough of catching fish. I had enough of him too. Now it was time to go home and I was happier then so off we went at 90 miles per hour and quit going that fast when we got the canal. We loaded the boat and was on our way home which I rejoiced to be going. All the way home we hardly said a word. We finally got there and I said to him, "You know I like you as a person but please don't ask me again to go fishing". I said, "You just to serious about this for me, I quit fishing tournaments a long time ago and went fishing just to relax and have some fun". So, we parted ways and left it at that. I just couldn't believe he acted like that. He spoiled my day for sure.

Now here is what he should have done. I offered him some Twitchin Shads because he didn't have any he said. He should have watched my technique since he hadn't caught any bass at all and I had caught 4. Once he saw my technique he could have used it on a lot of lures and caught more fish but since he was a pro he knew it all already apparently. He missed a chance to learn something new and missed out on catching bass because he wasn't there to learn anything, he was there to fish. He didn't want the other pros that were there to see me catch bass while he caught nothing. Instead of learning a technique that could have helped him even in tournaments he just ignored what I was doing. Like so many other Pros he didn't want anyone to know he didn't know everything about fishing.

The Albright knot is a type of loop in one single line. This type of knot has many uses. It is made of two different types of materials which can be either Monofilament to braided or braided to wire. The Albright knot is used to join the fly line and also to join two fishing lines together.

The Albright knot is made of one line. The other end of the line is passed through the loop and wrapped around the loop itself. The end back is passed through the loop again and lubricated. The knot is then pulled out and the ends are trimmed. The loop has to be made on the larger line. It is required to wind the loops neatly which will help to hold the loops and wind the line on.

The Albright performs its best when allowed to slide and when the fish pulls the line to reach the backing. The anglers in some cases are coated with a rubber-based cement to make it even smoother and more secure.
